FCCLA is making a big impact through their Chapter Service Project: the Care Closet! 💙🧡 Students are organizing the space, spreading awareness to support more families, and tracking progress with survey data. Shoutout to freshmen Daisy, Alex & Mark for jumping in! 👏✨ #VPPride

Shoutout to our FCCLA students for taking on an important Chapter Service Project: our Care Closet! 💙🧡 This team has been hard at work organizing the closet and finding new ways to make sure more students and families across the district know it’s available. They’ve even created a survey and are collecting data to track their progress and show the impact they’re making. 📊👏 FCCLA began organizing the Care Closet last year with a committee led by Lea Miller, and this year our new freshmen members, Daisy, Alex, and Mark, jumped right in. They spent first semester working in the closet and preparing their project for competition. This will be an ongoing FCCLA project, and the team has through the end of the school year to reach their goal for this year. We’re excited to see what they accomplish! ✨
The History of Slavery in St. Louis and Missouri traveling exhibit, created by the National Park Service’s Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, helps students explore local history and how it fits into the broader story of our nation. The exhibit looks at how historical events shaped our region and provides important context for understanding the past.
Mr. Keough learned about this exhibit while attending the Missouri Council for History Education Conference in St. Louis and brought the experience back to his Civil War class. Opportunities like this allow students to engage with history in a meaningful way, building knowledge, perspective and critical thinking skills. #VPPride

Students in our Criminal Law course wrapped up the semester with a mock trial that brought the justice system to life. As a capstone project, they stepped into courtroom roles as attorneys, witnesses and legal teams, tackling serious cases like first-degree murder and criminal hazing. With faculty and staff serving as the jury, students analyzed evidence, built legal strategies and presented their cases like true professionals. This hands-on experience strengthened critical thinking, teamwork and public speaking skills. 👏⚖️ See all the photos here: www.vpschools.org/law #VPPride #LimitlessLearning #FutureReady

Congratulations to our Adventure Pursuits students who earned their Missouri Boating License Certification! Last Thursday, students spent the day on campus participating in a hands-on certification course led by the Missouri State Water Patrol. From safety rules to navigation skills, they dove into real-world learning that connects directly to their Adventure Pursuits curriculum. Testing occurred yesterday, and we’re so proud of these students for taking on the challenge and gaining a skill that will serve them well beyond the classroom! 🌊🧡 #LimitlessLearning #VPPride

🍪 Healthy never tasted so sweet! Our Culinary I students took on a delicious challenge this week—creating a sweet snack that’s low in sugar, high in fiber, and full of flavor! Each group researched, developed, and prepared their recipe in the food lab, then topped it off with creative packaging and a one-minute pitch to the judges. The panel was ready to taste and rate! Kitchen 5, Brayden, Gavin and Steven were crowned the winners with their Strawberry Banana Bread! 😋👩‍🍳#LimitlessLearning #VPPride
