Valley Park is proud to celebrate Ms. Jinnie Fitzgerald, one of our incredible ELD teachers, as this month’s Teacher Proud Tuesday honoree.
Ms. Fitzgerald is an extraordinary educator. As an elementary ELD teacher, Jinnie does far more than teach English, she builds confidence, nurtures belonging and empowers students to find and use their voices.
In her classroom, students feel safe, valued and capable. Ms. Fitzgerald understands that learning a new language requires courage, patience and trust. She meets each child with compassion and high expectations, creating an environment where multilingual learners thrive academically and socially. Through her dedication, students grow not only in language proficiency but also in self-assurance and pride in who they are.
Ms. Fitzgerald’s impact extends beyond daily lessons. She is a fierce advocate for her students, ensuring they receive the support, respect and opportunities they deserve. She collaborates thoughtfully with colleagues, shares her expertise generously and consistently demonstrates professionalism and heart in everything she does.
Because of Ms. Fitzgerald, students who once felt uncertain discover confidence. Families feel welcomed and supported. The school community is stronger, richer and more inclusive.
Her work changes lives. Her influence lasts far beyond elementary school. And her greatness lies not only in what she teaches, but in how deeply she cares.
We are grateful for the passion, dedication and heart she brings to our school community each and every day. Congratulations, Ms. Fitzgerald, on being named our Teacher Proud Tuesday honoree.
On the second Tuesday of each month, Missouri school districts recognize a Teacher Proud Tuesday honoree who is making a difference in the lives of students.
