Congratulations to our newly elected Valley Park Board of Education members, Yasmin Chittakhone and Pete Coates. The Valley Park School District School Board provides critical leadership, perspective, and decision-making. We are privileged to have such a committed and talented group of community leaders be a part of our Board of Education. Yasmin and Pate join the following seated board members: Lisa Finder, Kim Bellchamber, Phyllis Geary, Richard Schmitt and Rebecca Menley. The newly elected board members will be sworn in at the April 10th School Board Reorganization Meeting. A special thank you goes to Jeremy Miller for his willingness to commit his time, talent, and energy to run for the school board. We would also like to thank our departing board member Adam Watson for his service to the school board and the students and staff of Valley Park School District. Preliminary (unofficial) election results posted on the St. Louis County Elections website, show that Proposition B has PASSED with 72.9% of voters supporting the zero-tax increase bond issue! We would like to thank everyone who helped spread the word about Prop B and, of course, all of our community members who took the time to vote. Hats off to Elizabeth Papalotzi '24 on flute, Lana Feldman '25 on clarinet, and Jermisha Lewis '26 a soprano vocalist for securing their spots in the Missouri State Solo and Ensemble Contest with their outstanding solos.
