Congratulations, Mr. Wood, VPSD's Teacher Proud Tuesday award winner! Mr. Wood teaches in the VPHS Social Studies department and received several nominations. "His class has been engaging especially because of the activities he employs for the class to partake in. He is always open for questions and is not afraid to admit he is wrong. Those attributes are very rare in a teacher so that is why I decided to nominate him." "Mr. Wood is very passionate about teaching and does his best to make his class fun." "I am nominating Mr. Wood because he has made class a fun experience this year. His lessons are always entertaining, and you can really tell he loves to teach. He always does his best to make lessons fun and immersive, and he is always encouraging his students to think deeper about subjects rather than take them at a surface level. He is a great teacher and Valley Park is lucky to have him." "Mr. Wood is always making us laugh with his fun classes and he does fun games that help kids understand the topic better." Thank you, Mr. Wood for being such a great teacher to our VPHS students! On the second Tuesday of each month, Missouri school districts will recognize a Teacher Proud Tuesday honoree for making a difference in the lives of students. To nominate a teacher, visit www.vpschools.org/tpt Stay tuned for more! #VPPride #tptteachers
