Congratulations, Mrs. Fahy, VPSD's October Teacher Proud Tuesday award winner! Mrs. Fahy teaches math at VPMS. Here are what the nominations said... “She does an amazing job of making math fun and really getting to know her students. " "I'm nominating this teacher because she is always there for her students. She will sit and listen to any problems or questions you have. She's always supportive of everyone, from athletes to art kids. She shows up when she cans and she runs the NJHS program perfectly. She does all of this while taking care of a little one at home meaning, not only is she a good teacher but, she's also a great mother. Lastly, she also knows how to entertain a class. She doesn't give long lectures trying to explain math, she makes fun activities and talks about math. So i believe that Mrs. Fahy should be the teacher for teacher proud Tuesday because of her supporting heart and she is truly a great teacher." On the second Tuesday of each month, Missouri school districts will recognize a Teacher Proud Tuesday honoree for making a difference in the lives of students. Stay tuned for more! #VPPride

Today we celebrate our Valley Park School District coaches! Coaches represent leadership, mentors, and inspiration. Often, a coach’s words will echo through an athlete’s mind for years to come. Rarely do these coaches even know the impact they’ve had on an athlete until many decades pass. Athletes aren’t the only people who benefit from coaches. In an academic setting, coaches lead individuals and teams in speech, chess, drama, and many other types of competition. Take a minute to thank your coaches!⚽️🏀⚾️🥎🥅⛳️🤸♂️🏆 #VPPride #ThankYouCoaches #NationalCoachesDay
